Why move off shared hosting
On an entry shared plan, your site draws from a modest pool of resources. That works well until your site gets busy enough that the pool becomes the bottleneck.
Cloud hosting gives your account a much larger allocation of CPU cores, storage, and concurrent connections, on a managed platform. You keep the control panel and the way you work today, and you get the headroom to handle traffic spikes and heavier applications.
Cloud hosting or a VPS?
Both give you more power than shared hosting, but they're built for different people.
- Cloud Hosting is managed. We look after the servers, the operating system, and the security layers. You manage websites, email, and databases in the control panel. No server administration needed.
- A VPS is self-managed. You get a KVM virtual server with root access and set up everything yourself. See VPS

What is cloud hosting in simple words?
Cloud hosting runs your website on a platform built from connected servers, with a larger share of CPU and storage than an entry shared plan. At ResellerBytes, Cloud Hosting is managed: we run the servers, and you manage your sites in the control panel.
Shared hosting vs cloud hosting: what is the difference?
Both use a control panel and need no server skills. Cloud plans give you far more resources: 3 to 10 vCPU cores, 100 to 250 GB of NVMe storage, and room for 50 to 100 websites. That lets them handle more traffic and heavier applications. They cost more and suit sites that have outgrown an entry plan.
Do I need technical skills to use cloud hosting?
No. You manage everything through the control panel, the same as shared hosting. SSH is there if you want it, but you never need to touch the server.
Can I move my site from shared hosting to cloud hosting?
Yes. Cloud hosting is the usual next step for sites that have outgrown shared or business plans. Open a ticket and we'll help you plan the move. Our guide for growing websites explains when cloud makes sense. See freelancers
