Who web hosting is for

Web hosting (also called shared hosting) puts your site on a server shared with other accounts. Sharing the hardware keeps the cost down, which makes it the most affordable way to run a website. It suits sites with steady, moderate traffic:

  • A business site with a few pages, a contact form, and a map
  • A portfolio or CV site
  • A personal blog, club, or community site
  • A landing page for a product or event

Running WordPress? The WordPress Hosting page covers the WordPress side. Building with Laravel? See Laravel Hosting.

What you get on every plan

Verified platform capabilities include PHP version control, secure SSH, Composer 2, built-in Git, one-click apps, free SSL, timeline backups, and Global CDN included. Plan limits such as websites and email accounts come from each plan's billing description.

Web hosting questions

Still unsure? Open a ticket and our team will answer it.

What is web hosting in simple words?

Web hosting is rented space on a server that stores your website and shows it to visitors. When someone types your domain, their browser fetches your pages from that server. On shared web hosting, many sites share one server's resources, which keeps the cost low. It suits most small business sites, blogs, and portfolios.

Can I host more than one website?

Yes, from the Business plan up. Website and email limits are listed on each plan card from our billing catalog. Agency stays visible even when its price is not listed yet; use Talk to us on that card.

Do I need to buy a domain separately?

You need a domain for your site, but you don't have to buy it from us. You can register one with ResellerBytes during checkout, transfer one in, or keep it with your current registrar and point it at your hosting.

Web hosting vs Laravel hosting: which page should I use?

They share the same SSD plans. Use this page for a general shared hosting overview. Use Laravel hosting when you care about PHP, SSH, Composer and Git for app deploys.

What happens if I'm not happy?

You can cancel from your client area, and you can contact support to discuss a refund. Our refund policy explains how refunds work and how domain registrations are handled, since registries don't refund those.
